Learning about BitCoin - by creating Arscoins

My Macbook Air charging away creating Arscoins!

ArsTechnica, the amazing tech/geek website, has set up a new digital currency, ArsCoin, for educational purposes so if you're interested in learning about the new world of digital currencies, you can get up and running with your own little set of coins.

I've been running it for about a half hour now, my little Macbook Air fighting away (first time in a long time I've heard the fan running continuously!) to create some coins. All in the name of education and science :) If you want to do so yourself, they have the full tutorial here.
