A company that's primary device isn't sold as a camera is now the second largest brand on Flickr

Incredible to see the numbers and how camera makers are being attacked, without even realising, by phone companies.

Apple is now 2nd to Canon (and ahead of Nikon and Sony) according to Flickr. I'm sure if you were to look at other photo posting sites (including those such as Facebook, Instagram, etc.) Apple would now be in 1st place. It's also amazing to see that they've taken the 2nd spot with only 18 devices, in comparison to Canon with 237, Nikon with 181, Samsung with 147 and Sony with 303(!).

If smartphones have destroyed the camera and sat-nav businesses, what else are they slowly eating into?

From my hobby, it says a lot that people will only now carry an iPhone when summiting Everest! Emily Harrington on the summit of Everest with a selfie from her iPhone.
