The beginning of the end for Telecoms (again)
“Our industry is still the living history museum of computing technology, architectures, models, and ideas. We need to truly modernize both technical architectures and operational structures, organizations, and approaches. We know telecom operators have hundreds some thousands of legacy network IT and tool stacks that have been built over the last 20 years, that needs to be retired. These tool stacks were created to remove gaps in processes of past and range from the most basic excel spreadsheets being sent in email, to 2000s era web tools, to silo’d domain vendor specific management elements (EMS).
New technology cannot be additive, it must be reductive. If we add we must use it to replace X things that were previously needed. AI is not possible without this modernization. ”
